Frequently asked questions


Everyone must sign a release. Minors must have a parent's signature.

Previous kayaking experience is recommended but not required.

Children must be at least 5 yrs old to participate and 14 yrs old to paddle a single or SUP.


Children under 18 must be accompanied on the water by someone over the age of 25.

All watercraft renters must know how to swim and must wear a PFD at all times.

The water is very cold year round.  Always stay close to shore.

Feeling unsure?  You can always go out on a guided tour.  We're really fun people.



What to bring...

Wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen and bring a full water bottle


When going out on the water:

  • wear quick drying layers.  Avoid cotton.

  • have dry clothes in the car

  • Showers are available.


For bicycles, wear walking shoes.  No flip flops please. 

Helmets are included with your rental.

Dogs?  We love to pet them, play with them but please take them for a hike instead.  With 434 acres and stunning vistas you'll both be happier.


What will I see...

Come explore this 434 acre park by bike or kayak. 

See stunning views of Mount Baker, Mount Rainier, Northern Cascades and Whidbey Island.

Look for river otters, harbor seals, porpoise, Bald Eagles, puffins, other sea birds and occasionally an orca.

The waters are calm and the scenery is amazing.  Come out and play with us!
